I was using Fast Dial for years in Firefox. I was so disappointed when Firefox Quantum (v57) decided to delete it. I was using Fast Dial as my home/start page in Firefox. After investigating, I found your Group Speed Dial is the BEST replacement for Fast Dial. With all of your options and settings, I was able to design my Group Speed Dial just like I had my Fast Dial. Thanks for your hard work and also for a fine product. I will be sending a donation!

в папке Data\profile\SDBackups\ сохраните последний дата сохранение залкадок с расширением 20171115.speeddial скопируйте другое место , и обновил аналог этот Group Speed Dial зашел в настройки import dials from "Speed Dial от Josep del Rio" ниже выберите файл и ждите import Finish!

very nice add-on really. Just one question, is it possible to show only title of each dial and suppress all thumbnails? I sometimes don't want to see those thumbnails at all. Thanks for help in advance.

I really like this add-on to FireFox. I have grouped a few hundred bookmarks into a a few pages and they look pretty and are very useful. I use the Pro version which has upload and download buttons to save the dials on the cloud. The dials on the two computers I have can be synchronized at will. Having all the dials in the cloud makes local backups redundant. Besides they are accessible everywhere.

Единственная достаточно полноценная замена настоящему Speed Dial, который с Firefox 57 не совместим.
Главное, спокойно восстановил все диалы из сохранённой копии SD Backups, а их около 500 в 23 группах.

Несколько месяцев назад заработало нормально расширение Group Speed Dial в хромообразных браузерах, причём бэкап из Firefox полностью воспроизвёлся SlimJet и в Comodo Dragon, что весьма порадовало

Very helpful developer who responds quickly to help requests and is quick to fix issues with their extension. Also, very good add-on that's quickly becoming more fully-featured, and is (imo) the best speed dial extension for Firefox 57+.

I used to use Speed Dial by Josep del Rio, it is still the best in my mind but there is none like that in Chrome.
Then I tried FVD. It is good but so lagging, slow down my browser and have few limitation of dials (have to pay for more).

Now, I tried Group Speed Dial and it works very well. I can also have the same dials in Chrome.

However the pro options is very interesting.

More suggestion:
- Have some options to customize the size of screen shot in case that I have many many dials in a single group, the dials will be so small and screen shot looks bad. If I can capture the screenshot for example: 800x600 and automatically resize to match the dial size will be very good.
- In Speed Dial have schedule to generate new screen shot for example every hour, day.

This is the best speed dial add-on that's out there now supporting all versions of Firefox!!! And the developer is really a helpful dude!

Import from Speed Dial [FVD] worked flawlessly. Took a few mins to figure out thumbnail sizing (scaling/ratio stuff), but once figured out, I could set things to resemble what I've been used to for years.
Coming from SD [FVD] I still wish the addon would allow scrolling without forcing users to obey max amount of dials per one group screen without affecting size. But I'm satisfied with this addon nevertheless.

On slow computers with white color theme firstly appears black screen, then appears white background. This blinking is annoying.

Am I the only one who can't drag and drop the panels from one location/Group to another? Windows 10, Firefox 57.ob8(64bit). It just opens the page in the panel when I left click and drag. The panel won't reposition at all. If this were working then this would be a superb replacement for SpeedDial.

No, I can't even move a dial within a group..it just opens the website immediately, in the dial..it won't let me move it or reposition it anywhere,,even within the same group.


Ahhh..OK..I see that have the Super-Speed Navigator checked! Now it works perfectly. Amended star rating to 5*.

as a previous user of uworks SD i really appreciate this extension although i created dials from scratch. i found GSD in chrome store and it installed in chromium longer ago.

for FVD i can only say - it contains the option to show ads and they made speed dial 1+2 disappear in chrome store, i do not honor this behavior. and their backups and not compatible to anything - id took me hours to adjust dials for import in GSD (for a good friend of mine)


i was asked about opening dials in a private window - please add this option if possible.

btw GSD wont work in firefox 56.

overall rating is 5*, donating is welcome although i dont use to sync online.

PS afaik FVD is working on a WE, i dont care!
