    Sehr schöner Ersatz für das "Speed Dial". Was ich vermisse ist die Möglichkeit auch eine lokal auf dem Rechner (oder Netzwerk) gespeicherte html-Datei hinterlegen zu können. "Speed Dial" konnte das. Alle Versuche mit "file:///F:/Folder/index.html", "file://///Computer/d$/Eigene%20Dateien/User/Documents/Folder/index.html" etc. funktionieren nicht.

    Hello,

    Sadly access to local .html files is now completely blocked by Firefox internal security for all add-ons.

    Hello,

    You probably activated the "Super-speed" feature (in upper right menu). When this feature is enabled, you can drag and drop only when holding Ctrl or Shift keys. You can also disable Super-speed.

    Worked well for one day. Showed me the speed dials I imported from the SDBackup file from SpeedDials. Same as with some user comment here (in German), since yesterday I only get some "unexpected error, please write me an email".
    Sending an email without information about what happend will probably not help, but I do not find logs.
    Firefox 57 is new and the addons have been changed, so errors can be expected. Was quite happy with this addon, and will be after the cause of the error is found and fixed.

    Update: Worked again after I reloaded SDBackup, and made sure I have a working internet connection. Could be that the addon wants to reload from server and throws an error if this is not possible - just a guess.

    Nach dem Import von SDBackups erscheint ständig eine Fehlermeldung (Es ist ein unerwarteter Fehler aufgetreten) beim Start. Ich soll dem Entwickler eine Mail schicken und den Fehler melden, tja, wie meldet man denn einen Fehler, der nicht weiter benannt werden kann, da das Add-On nichts darüber aussagt.


    Hier sollte schnell nachgebessert werden, denn so ist es keine Alternative.

    nice alternative to the good old Speed Dial, for the quantum release. Import function works fine. It needs some adjustments to make it look like the old speed dial, still needs a bit improvement in how the dials look, for example a small border to separate the dial title from the thumbnail would be nice. Small bug to report: in options -> general -> copy homepage link, then paste that URL to "override new tab page with URL" field, will result in a funny loop

    Hello,

    Sadly access to local files through "file://" protocol is now completely blocked by Firefox internal security for all add-ons.

    Situation in Chrome browser is very similar but Chrome added option (checkbox) to enable access to local files for specific add-on on their add-on page. I hope something similar will come to Firefox one day, but until then, there is nothing I can do about it.
    You can also downgrade to Firefox ESR where old add-ons still works :)

    Good point with the background, I'm more focusing on features than look (which may not be best for business :)). But I'm planning some exciting upgrades that will include new background for every day from Bing service :)

    Anyway I'm sorry for the bad news.

    Très bien ! Le meilleur en remplacement de Speed Dial non compatible avec la v57.
    Synchronisation automatique dans le cloud intéréssant.
    Petit défaut : nouvel onglet Firefox qui s'ouvre automatiquement avec Group Speed Dial, pas besoin.

    Этот плагин больше всех похож на привычный мне старый Speed Dial. Единственный недостаток - красивые превьюшки получаются при обновлении диалов с просмотром. В целом сплошные плюсы - хорошая кастомизация, группы, и синхронизация настроек.

    Hello,

    There is a German translations. However Firefox decides what language it will use.
    If you use English Firefox then you will probably have to force it:
    1) open "about:config" in Firefox, and search for the "general.useragent.locale preference"
    2) double click on the preference to select it, enter the language code "de"

    Please try to use Firefox Reset to fix your Firefox:

    Bonjour, des années, oui, des années de fenêtres et d'onglets (environ 300/400) qui ont carrément disparu de ma page d'accueil "chrome://speeddial/content/speeddial.xul" avec cette mise à jour (obligatoire) de "speeddial" avec mozilla (V.57)... Je n'ai rien contre l'évolution, mais lorsque c'est au dépend d'un travail d'autrui et du jour au lendemain, JE SUIS VRAIMENT FURIEUX "FURAX"... C'est complétement effacé (indique maintenant : fichier introuvable - Erreur) ! Une solution, peut-être, pour retrouver toutes mes sélections ?
    Et si non, que dire de plus, peut être, bravo !!!

    Hello,

    You can probably import your old dials. If you have your .speeddial
    backup file, just import it. Here is a short tutorial:

    If you don't have your backup file, you can look for one here:
    C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\\SDBackups
    and look for .speeddial files.

    You can also download Firefox ESR and backup your dials. However
    downgrading to Firefox ESR will break your Firefox database and you will
    have to use Firefox reset feature to fix it afterwards
    (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/refresh-firefox-reset-add-ons-and-settings).
