TLDR; This add-on not only rips you off but your favorite creators as well.

This add-on steals money from creators with sponsor links by secretly changing it to theirs. It also does not do the thing it's being advertised to do -aka 'saving you money by looking for coupons'. They do not have many of the working coupons, and they do not add them to their database even if a user submits said coupon to them.

You're better off not using this add-on, even if you can't be bothered to find coupons yourself. Best case scenario, you are not losing anything by not having it. Worst case scenario, you and the creators you enjoy get ripped off by the shady developers of Honey.

Had this for years and it never gave me any deals. Now I know why.

This extension removes affiliate links upon clicking the button to search for deals, taking any commission for themselves. They make themselves a middleman to extract value from youtubers and such who relied on those affiliate links. Never once did I find a deal with coupons. Nay, the coupons were only a ruse to get you to install the addon so they can steal affiliate link commissions.

OWNED BY PAYPAL. They are paid to give out worse coupons to customers as well.

They are actually scum, their entire business model steals from affiliate links from people actually doing the marketing and even if they work or not to give you a discount, they steal the commission. Disgusting.

This is a fraud extension which literally steals money from people. Does not show the best discount codes - they profit from the lower discount code they promote to you.

This never once in years saved me money. Now I find out it was hijacking affiliate money from people who actually helped me get into hobbies. Disgusting company. Huge lawsuits incoming.

A scam. Notorious for not getting you a discount, and now notorious for ripping off advertising affiliates.
So suspect that anybody that's still advertising it should also be suspect.
PayPal clearly wouldn't have bought this for $4billion if it only worked as advertised.

Deliberately hides high value coupons from you and steals affiliate commissions from real affilates despite rarely providing any savings. Avoid this scam.

Just learned about their terrible practices in regards to affiliate links. Scam!

Used to be a decent app, but it seems like it's really gone downhill the past few years, and has been caught red-handed in stealing affiliate links.

It's also impossibly hard to get Honey Gold anymore. Don't bother with this app.

Scam Addon. Does not give you what it advertises. This addon will work with vendors to limit the discount you can get. This addon will also overwrite affiliate codes and add their own stealing commissions for the person who originally referred you.

It's a scam!

This extension was recently outed as a scam. After checking and verifying it for myself, I can indeed say that the results seem true and it saddens me. I was hoping to actually get good deals and such like that. But now it seems that they are taking more from all of us than we really thought was possible. Guess I would have to go somewhere else to see if I can find more deals in this way.

This extension is a scam
