- Wurdearring: 5 fan 5troch KnIXght, 4 jierren lyn- I really love this add-on, but I am finding it hard to figure out a way to better organize by size [resolution]
- When I am on a website [Pinterest], and there are multiple images; when it pops up with what I guess is the 'gallery' it does not sort it by size at all. And, when I press 'next' it switches to a completely different image.
- I mainly just want a way to truly isolate the image that I am trying to download, and then just find the larger versions. I have tested this and even if there are two or more images of the same time [different sizes], it will not load just those images; nor will it only display the largest.
UPDATED:
- I noticed that whenever I open an image in a new tab, it automatically loads the highest resolution, but not every time.Antwurd ûntwikkeler
4 jierren lyn pleatstSorry for the late reply. I might be extrapolating a bit too much from your request, but are you looking for a way to automatically reverse image search the image, and find larger versions?
If so, that's actually not what this addon currently does. It doesn't replace using a reverse image search engine, but rather complements it, because image search engines will often not provide the largest version that a site will offer.
This addon works by using APIs and regex rules specific to each of the sites it supports to find the largest publicly available version of the image that the site offers. For example, let's say that a website has the following images:
example.com/image_small.jpg
example.com/image_large.jpg
If this addon had a rule for that site, it would replace image_small.jpg with image_large.jpg, based entirely on the URL of the image (replacing _small with _large).
I'm not against adding support for reverse image search engines in a future version, but I'm not sure when I'll have time to get to that. If someone else would like to contribute this in the meantime though, I would be more than happy to accept a PR! :) - Wurdearring: 5 fan 5troch ertyz, 4 jierren lyn

The only problem is that i had to manually press "save" every time picture was downloaded so I set up an autoclicker, only later I discovered that in firefox you can set folder for downloads. I guess this is the only things you should consider.

5 jierren lyn pleatstThe link you posted (replacing xxx) works on my end, but my guess is that it's some kind of regional update or layout change of some kind that causes it to fail for you... Can you contact me through one of the links at the bottom of https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/image-max-url/ ? (Unfortunately it's not possible to have a back and forth with firefox reviews)
Hopefully we can fix this :) - Wurdearring: 5 fan 5troch Elio, 5 jierren lyn

Please return it as it was. It seems that there used to be a site award.yandex.ru. Where do you set up to send - I can not find contact information

5 jierren lyn pleatstSorry, I'm not sure I understand. I've tried it on the image below the Главное tab, and it works for me. If this is not the image you're referring to, can you send a screenshot of where the image is on yandex.ru?
If this is the image you're referring to though, can you send me your settings? (Export button at the top of the options page) Hopefully that will let me reproduce your problem and find a fix :)
My contact information is listed at the bottom of the addon's page.

Unfortunately, as of 18.x, it seems to be broken with Waterfox Classic, 2021.02 64-bit. I've migrated back to 17.0 for now, but the error is such:
- Images no longer auto-redirect to embiggified images;
- When forced to look for largegigantored images, the extension returns the source image - even if the site map is only one or two clicks away!
- Nothing seems to circumvent this behaviour, or fix it. I'd be curious if other Waterfox Classic users might have encountered the issue as well.
... Seriously though, one of the most useful extensions around! Thanks a million!Antwurd ûntwikkeler
5 jierren lyn pleatstI can't actually seem to replicate the issue, sorry! I tried under Waterfox Classic 2021.02 as you mentioned, and it appears to work fine for me. Would you mind sending your settings (through the options->export button)? Contact links are available on the extension page (use whatever you're more comfortable with). Also, could you send an example link that doesn't work for you? For me, https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DlOC3mOWsAEi1ld.jpg redirects properly to https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DlOC3mOWsAEi1ld?format=jpg&name=orig .
It could be that there's a specific combination of settings that causes it to break, it wouldn't be the first time that has happened under Waterfox (due to its older JS engine). - Wurdearring: 5 fan 5troch abudulamh, 5 jierren lyn

to
/123-original.jpg
/128-original.jpg

5 jierren lyn pleatstSorry, there's currently no way to add manual rules. This is something I'd really like to add in the future (see https://github.com/qsniyg/maxurl/issues/41), but currently there are a few technical problems with implementing this for the moment (see the linked issue for a bit more detail on why).
If you want to request a new site to be added to the script, feel free to use any of the contact links listed at the bottom of the script's description, whichever you're most comfortable with. I'm more than happy to add any new website to the script, and if I'm online, I usually add them within minutes of being notified :)
If you'd rather add it to the script yourself (note that this will require sideloading the addon), I've written a bit of a guide here: https://github.com/qsniyg/maxurl/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md#websiterule-contributions. In your case, a rule like this should work: if (domain === "subdomain.your-website.com") return src.replace(/(\/[0-9]+-)small(\.[^/.]+)(?:[?#].*)?$/, "$1original$2");
By the way, while the github issue hasn't seen much activity for a while, this does not mean it's been forgotten or ignored, the script is already getting restructured in many areas, which will facilitate the implementation of this. It's just that it is pretty a massive project (currently requires rewriting >70,000 lines of source code - much of which will be automatically handled, but even that requires a very significant amount of work).
