We want Private Tab not Private Window

why is this an alternative to "private tab"? Cannot open a new tab in private mode!

Like other people already said, just open a new page in private, not a new tab in private mode.

if I wanted to open a new window i's do that myself... also, mozilla, please stop recommending this addon as a replacement for Private Tab, that's very pathetic

To those who can't read descriptions apparently: it says clearly that it opens a normal tab in a private WINDOW and then auto closes the normal tab with removing it from the history. Firefox quantum currently doesn't support private "tabs". That is why currently nobody can develope such add-on. The one-star ratings have nothing to do with the purpose of THIS add-on.

It doesn't add any value. A private tab option should be built-in in Firefox.

Can you add the option to make the tab private in the same window rather opening new one if possible in webextension like in legacy ....
