This version (v1.2.1) introduces critical infrastructure optimizations and refined AI safety protocols to provide a more reliable scholarship assistance experience. We have implemented a new multi-cloud failover system that allows the extension to automatically cycle between deployments, ensuring near-zero downtime even during primary server maintenance or cold starts. On the backend, we have completely overhauled our Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architecture for enhanced matching accuracy while simultaneously decoupling heavy data-scraping workers from the production API. This change significantly reduces the extension’s memory footprint and response latency. Furthermore, we have strengthened the AI’s system instructions to restrict its scope strictly to undergraduate scholarship assistance in the Philippines, ensuring that IskoLens remains a safe, specialized, and reliable mentor for students. Additional UI enhancements include a subtle version identifier in the chat header and improved backend source tracking for better service monitoring.
