Just Read It is a browser extension for focused reading on web pages. This policy explains the information the extension handles and how it is used.
Just Read It stores the following information in browser extension storage:
- The URLs and titles of pages where reading progress has been saved.
- Reading progress, including the current sentence, completed sentences, and the time spent reading.
- Reading preferences, such as reading speed, selected voice, and Guided Reading settings.
Reading progress, page URLs, titles, and reading time are stored locally in the browser. Settings and per-site preferences, such as selected content section and font size, may use the browser's sync storage when you have browser sync enabled. This information is used only to restore reading progress, show reading statistics, and apply your preferences. You can remove an individual saved page or delete all saved reading data from the extension dashboard or popup.
Just Read It does not collect, transmit, sell, share, or use your data for advertising, analytics, profiling, or any other purpose outside the extension's features. It does not contact external servers.
The extension can be enabled manually for the current page using the toolbar popup, context menu, or keyboard shortcut. When you choose to reopen a saved page in Reading Mode, the extension requests access only to that page's site. This permission lets the extension read and format the page's visible article content to provide sentence highlighting, reading progress, and read-aloud features.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be included with a future extension release.
For privacy questions, use the support channel listed in the browser extension store.
