Website Blocker troch Tom

A small, simple extension that blocks specific websites from being accessed at certain times of the day. There are plenty of similar tools that achieve the same forced productivity, but I wanted a simple one with no complex features. If you're like me and don't want the temptation to doom scroll this is for you!

By default it will block access to x.com, instagram.com, facebook.com and tiktok.com between 00:00 and 18:00 every day. It does this by forcing an alert on you and forcing a refresh after you close it every time you access one of these sites, to keep it as annoying as possible and discourage you from going on the sites.

Both the blacklist of websites and times can be changed so you can customise the extension to your preferences. For the blacklist of websites this includes displaying a list of blocked websites, removing them from the list (with a simple click), or adding more websites to the list. Currently, only times on the hour are supported for when websites are blocked.

Built entirely in native JavaScript to keep it lightweight.
