It's destructive now. E.g. after I added accounts.google.com to permanent container it stopped worked at all, I just can't login to anywhere. And no ways to remove it from permanent containers. So I have to remove this extension.

Really good extension for separation of concern :)

This extension was, originally, part of Firefox. I kind of understand the reasoning behind removing it and making it into an independent add-on (faster updating, independent development etc.), but I fear some day Firefox will drop it altogether, like it did with other technologies (let's not talk about WebSQL and the amazing beast that was XUL).

Anyway, this is an essential extension, full of features (don't forget to check its options for more essential features that come disabled by default, for whatever reason) and very light. There are lots of reasons for not leaving Firefox for other browsers, and this is surely one of them!

It was never a really good extension, but with the new update it bacame totally unusable. how can you make such a small plugin so complicated and unintuitive, quite impressive

Imagine that you admin lot of accounts. Containers made life easier.

As a non tech person, I appreciate the privacy options of Firefox and was excited to learn how to use the Container. I would give it five stars if there were better instructions on "how to". I haven't even been successful in using the help sections because of not knowing correct terminology. Obviously, I'm talking about very elementary steps, such as how to delete or rename a new container. Even more detail on how to actually put a web site into a new container would be great. ("See Spot run.") I ended up accidentally adding multiple new empty tabs to one of the containers. Here's the difficulty, I grew up with an IBM Selectric typewriter and never took a computer class in college. Lots of my friends are the same way. We just need more detailed steps. Maybe a "Tips for Baby Boomers" section throughout Firefox would be successful. Overall, I'm a huge Firefox (Moxilla) fan and even donate here and there. This is a great organization, and who else works so diligently for net neutrality? Donating to this organization is a privilege ... and a must.

This is really cool feature. you can treat it as virtual browser. I am rating it 4 because I can't find easy way to list/find all other plugins supported with container mode. other wise it is really good stuff.

This is the key reason I will never stop using Firefox. Such an underrated feature.

Don't get me wrong - it's great, especially the recent update that allows you to manage your containers a bit more. BUt for some dumb reason, there's no way to add sites to the list without opening them first - so I have to add support.google.com, mail. google.com, and so on, instead of just typing in https://google.com or *.google.com. I can't for the life of me understand why this feature would be left out. I'll be keeping an eye on this, but I can't use the "Limit to Designated Sites" feature without it.

Works excellently. Perfectly solved a need I had. I started using Mozilla over Chrome for various tasks because of how valuable this is as a tool. My only complaint is that there doesn't seem to be a way to reorganize containers, without deleting them and recreating them in the order you want. This becomes troublesome when you have a lot and need to configure their ordering.

For version 7.0.2; The more recent update to this extension made the user experience less enjoyable. Here is what I needed the extension to do:

- quickly open a new tab in a specified container
- reopen an existing tab in a specified container
- set a specific url domain to open in specified container by default

The most recent update adds an additional number of clicks to open a new container tab.

Multi-Acc Containers is a awesome tool for how I interact with Firefox. It's one of those technology tools that once you use it for the 1st time, you simply can't go back to your old ways ever again.

This add-on is absurdly useful for Enterprise IT administrators. It enables easy use of dedicated admin identities into separate containers for isolation form normal productivity work, and is particularly useful in contexts like Microsoft 365 / Azure where logging in to the same URLs multiple times in the same browser needs to happen with separate identities that have separate permissions granted.

Multi-Account Containers is a game changer for how I interact with a web browser. It's one of those pieces of technology that once you use it the first time, you simply can't go back to the older means of interaction absent the new features ever again. The degree of quality of life improvement I've received in using this add-on is gigantic, probably the most impactful change since discovering tabbed browsing in the late 1990s.
