I absolutely love containers! They help immensely with web development and having multiple test accounts. No more private windows and using both Chrome and Firefox just to test more than 2 accounts at a time!

This add-on is useful for memory management and organizing the endless collection of tabs I seem to keep open.

I look forward to how the developers can make these easier to use and organize. Certain aspects about the implementation feel clunky to me, but the need is real.

Works great. Some irritations - no shortcut to open new tab in specific container. Can't specify the existing web site I'm on to go to a specific container - I have to open the tab container and then reopen the site in that container. Maybe I'm missing something? Would be 5 stars if I could do the above.

Best plugin in Firefox ever. That's why I still use Firefox for years.

It worked great until all my add-ons got disabled. Because that got rid of all my profiles for this add-on.

It's a great way to keep cookies from different 'worlds' (i.e. work, personal, etc.) apart. Just works, and I've never had issues.

That said, not 5 stars for a few reasons:

1. URL autocomplete is shared between containers
2. Login (username) autocomplete appears to be shared between containers

I didn't know I needed this until you guys developed it. I use multiple Amazon accounts as a seller and a buyer. I use containers to keep the accounts separate. I love this!

Definitively one of the best add-on I found at the end of 2017!
If you often have to join several accounts with several usernames (and sometimes at the same time) this is your add-on!

Allow to access multiple Google accounts in their own "container" which help me to use multiple Google accounts without interfere one with another.

I already have this feature on my Firefox without installing this Add-on. Yes I didn't install this add on and it's also not visible in in my add on manager. Can anyone explain to me how I' m using all these features of this add on without installing it?

This is a really nice way of using one browser for work and personal naigation (multiple accounts on same websites for example). I have yet to try and use it to isolate my own browsing habits though!

This addon works very well to separate state between different accounts. Much easier to have work and personal mail tabs open in different contains pinned in the same window than to have multiple windows open.

Good for increasing Privacy/Anonymity online by compartmentalizing tabs into their own little virtual sandbox of sorts.

Sadly, demoted from ☆☆☆ to ☆as of 7 July 2021. Starting ten days ago, the extension was unable to associate different logins to a domain with my different accounts: Google Drive was always personal, or always work. Since Independence Day, it's been trying to fix that by jumping frantically back and forth between different containers in the same tab - window jitters like crazy, and your only option is to close the tab. Today the jitter spreads to previously stable tabs when you close a schizophrenic one. The only solution: turn the extension off, and lose all the walls between different roles.

This is a great idea, and I hope the Mozilla team figures out how to make it WORK RELIABLY. Meanwhile, I'm going to be making a lot more use of Chrome personas.

IF YOU TURN IT OFF, ALL YOUR SETTINGS GET WIPED OUT.

I had a couple of hundred URLs associated with my personal, work, coding, educational and Facebook IDs. To see if add-ons were making Firefox a memory hog, I turned them all off. When I reactivated Multi-Account Containers, the only associations that remained were with "Personal" and those were all wrongly linked to my coding persona.

So now I'm wondering if I want to take the trouble of rebuilding — at least a half day of work to undo what should never have happened. If Mozilla security protocol means an inactive add-on can't retain any data, there should have been a CONSPICUOUS WARNING of what I was erasing.

If you are an admin — Google apps account, a Facebook page, whatever — you can finally sign is as a user/visitor at the same time you're editing, in side-by-side tabs in the same browser. And it's nice to have access to a persona not associated with any of your social media or email accounts, so you can escape tracking and junk email when you browse.

This is an excellent plugin but it suffers from not enough administrative interfaces being exposed. To use this addon successfully I'd need an interface where I can manage the auto-open-in-container lists easily and quickly. I've also run into a few problems where auto-open hasn't kicked in, and I've clicked a link and been left wondering why I'm logged out/logged in as a different account. Cheers.
