an opion to say a bookmark should open in a container would be great.

Very nice way to use separate profiles side-by-side.
However, it would be nice if the container could be specified in bookmarks. More specifically, in bookmarks that are supposed to open in the side bar. Those now always appear to use the 'no container' profile.

It would be useful to be able to change the container of a currently opened tab.

I love this extension, but that the configs don't sync with my firefox account is a big problem.
Putting sites into appropriate containers is not trivial. Having to do this on every computer, or worse, losing your configs... is very discouraging.

The documentation encourages using it to manage multiple accounts on the same platform, however this usecase is not baked in. The default containers are not a bad suggestion. I used some of them. My custom containers centered around the third-party authentication and the specific account. So, I open youtube in a personal google account. I open google drive in a container for my work gsuite account.

Maybe some more guidance could be given on how to use containers. My big question is, does it make sense to separate websites that I authenticate with via twitter from websites I authenticate via facebook?

I think some built-in UX around organizing websites into containers based on specific authentication accounts could be a great feature.

The best extension for Firefox. Not is perfect, but is excellent.

I work in the Software Security field. One of my biggest paranoias is that a rogue site will be able to access one of my protected sites, such as banks or email. In the past, I was able to mitigate this by using different profiles in Chrome, but that required separate browsers to be running. Firefox had profiles, but I couldn't open them simultaneously, which made them useless. Now with Firefox containers, I am opening my email in separate contexts from my shopping, and other contexts. I have separate containers for different roles in trusted platforms. The big win is that I can set defaults for my sites. For instance, Amazon always opens in my shopping container. Sweet.

The only reason I cannot give this five stars is because of this one criticism. Links from my email open by default in the same container as my email. This is a security shortcoming because it opens me up to phishing attacks. You can work around using the context menu and opening in a specific container, but I would rather it be a default.

Nice to tidy up and organize Tabs. I like the possibility to easily separate websites, which shouldn't get in touch.

Just needs some additional configuration-tools +sync!
-rearranging containers, inclusive default (as I need it), is a must have! (I need default Tabs at the end)
-Pages in a container+settings(like always open in container X) have to be synced to other firefox-devices!!
-also to android
-more symbols colors

Very nice, still missing some features – that would make the Containers a solid alternative to multiple Firefox profiles/Chrome's „people/supervised users“. Especially that Firefox forces a single instance (I consider this a deep architectural bug by itself).
1. Synchronization via Firefox sync.
2. Setting a default container for a domain is clumsy arnd unclear.
3. A better integration with Password Manager (..., History, Bookmarks, Addon Manager, Preferences,...) would be very nice.
4. A possibility to reopen the current URL in a different container is a must!
5. I'd expect that container tabs inherit from the „default“. Currently, the „default“ is just an ordinary container without any added value, just a bit different menu/toolbars/uncolored tabs, which is misleading.
6. Protect containers with a password? Especially if the Password Manager would be containerized.

Also it is not clear, which Addon is „THE containers“. There are many extensions on AMO with very similar functionality.

Great extension but should provide more configuration options. I.e. open always in default containers. URL patterns, etc.

Awesome! It would be nice, if you could create shortcuts leading to a certain container.

Die Erweiterung ist super, gerade für Menschen, die für eine Seite mehrere Accounts haben.
Was mir noch fehlt: Ein Lesezeichen per direkt aus den Lesezeichen heraus in einem bestimmten Container öffnen zu können. Am liebsten durch langes gedrückthalten, so wie beim New Tab-lange drücken.

Top pour utiliser un seul navigateur pour tous les différents comptes (pro, perso...). Serait encore mieux si les catégories de containers étaient synchronisées avec Firefox sync comme les marque pages.

Parce que j'y trouve un intérêt pour protéger ma vie privée. Pour tester les sites que je met en place avec un onglet admin et un onglet visiteur. Merci

What could make this add-on even better is if popular sites opened up in the proper container out of the box (ex amazon opened in shopping without the user having to set it up)

Great to be able to use multiple online identities freely, especially as a software developer where you need to juggle several for testing purposes. But I just wish this extension had a setting for automatically launching new tabs or windows in the same container as you're already in when you hit Ctrl+T or Ctrl+N. (At least, I can see no obvious way to enable this.)

I recently have been trying to swap from google chrome to firefox quantum. It has worked really nicely but firefox doesn't have the feature to log into multiple accounts, and I wanted to keep my school and personal separate. So I found this and has been using it to do that. One thing I want is the ability to open a new window for single container. It is pretty annoying having to and remember to double tap the new tab button everytime.
