Porchcast Companion handles only the display data needed for its single purpose: Porch title, non-secret Porch ID, host or guest role, recording state, recording display summaries, and local presentation settings. Recent Porch summaries and preferences stay in extension-local storage. Signed-in account summaries use browser-session storage and expire with the browser session.

The extension never stores OAuth or CSRF credentials, cookies, invitation URLs, room tokens, media grants, participant audio or video, chat contents, attachments, artifact URLs, payment details, or unrelated browsing history. It does not sell data, use it for advertising or credit decisions, or transmit it to a separate extension backend.

Camera, microphone, screen share, chat, recording, rendering, authenticated downloads, identity, and billing remain in the Porchcast web application. Optional website subscriptions are processed by Stripe; the extension contains no checkout or payment form.
