Raccoon VPN Firefox Extension — Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 11, 2026
- DATA WE COLLECT
To provide the proxy service, the extension stores locally on your device: - Your email address (used as proxy username)
- Your authentication token (used to verify your session)
- Your last selected VPN server
- Connection state (connected/disconnected)
None of this data is shared with third parties.
- DATA TRANSMITTED
When you connect, your authentication token is sent to our SOCKS5 proxy server (raccoonvpn.com infrastructure) solely to verify that your account is active and authorized. This check happens once per connection and is cached for 5 minutes.
Every 30 seconds while connected, the extension reports bytes_delta=0 to our API to keep your session alive and enforce data limits for free-tier users. No browsing content or URLs are included in this report.
- BROWSING DATA
We do NOT log, store, or inspect the websites you visit. The proxy server forwards your traffic without recording destinations, timestamps, or content. - DATA RETENTION
Authentication tokens expire automatically. You can log out at any time to clear all locally stored data (extension storage is wiped on logout). - THIRD PARTIES
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party. No analytics SDKs or tracking libraries are included in this extension. - CONTACT
