just tried it on desktop version of firefox and it worked right away. Will report back with a longer sample size and adjust ratings based on more time. So far, works well. thanks. I will also try it on firefox nightly on Android (which allows you to use desktop extensions in developer mode with some effort)

Completely broke my subscriptions box to where I wasn't even able to recently uploaded videos, it was showing me stuff from a week ago.

Use Hide YouTube Shorts instead.

Great extension. Removes garbage from youtube.

Yeah, I didn't understand why my subscriptions page was broken, but it turns out to be the Hide Shorts from Subscriptions option from this extension. That would be a nice option, so hopefully the creator fixes it. Either way its a much appreciated extension.

EDIT - As per the dev's response, it's now working perfectly, so I've changed my score to 5 stars.

The new "Hide Shorts from Subscriptions page" option, which is enabled by default, causes my Subscriptions page to not show any videos. I just get a spinning loading symbol at the top of the screen. With that option disabled, everything works fine (although I obviously still see Shorts in my Subscriptions), so there appears to be an issue with the method you're using to try and block Shorts from the Subscriptions page.

Unfortunately does not remove shorts from Subscription feed and also does not save settings in the options window.

It doesn't fully remove YT Shorts, but it is helpful and I left it installed for a week or two because it does at least redirect you to the full-page YT video for the Short.
The reason for my uninstall, and lower rating, despite not actually fully removing Shorts, is:
This extension interferes with CTRL+click (or middle mouse button click etc) on any regular YT video from your feed or front page or anywhere on the site, and doesn't open a new tab. Not every single time but it's like 3-4 out of 5 tries for me, which got really frustrating after a while.

YouTube shorts are just YouTube's attempt to draw in TikTok users, and it's not a format I like. Thanks to this extension I'm able to view shorts like I would any other video.

Not Work on android

In search the shorts are all over.

YouTube's new 'short' format looks terrible on the desktop. Google feels like an old company joylessly copying 3rd-party ideas. If they actually had people who enjoyed the work, they might have produced something immersive.

Anyway... I have not had to deal with the new shorts format since installing this extension. Nice!
