This add-on blocks Google ads on your browser.

Most ad-blockers contain multiple files that have to run before your page loads. So it can slow down how fast your browser opens a page. Spamurai™ uses only a few lines of code in a single file. So it loads websites much faster.

Why would other ad-blockers use so many files? Because they give you the option to 'white list' certain sites. This means that you can tell their program to display ads on select websites. They also partner with larger sites (such as facebook) to allow those sites to display ads by default. This is how they make their money.

Spamurai™ just blocks everything. It doesn't track the stuff you're browsing, nor does it save any of your information. It just looks at the website's code before it loads, and removes anything labeled an 'ad'.

We're still in the early stages of this project. So next we're going to make this add-on work on other ad-platforms besides Google. Google-ads make up about 85% of the ads you'll see on the internet. But we would like to close that final gap.
