    This would be great if it could just use the search engines already set up in your Firefox settings.

    Hey, but you can! ;)

    In the options page, below the list of engines, you can see "Load browser search engines". When you find the file with Firefox's search engines on your machine (there are instructions right beside the button), SSS can import them.

    NOTE: SSS could use the Firefox search engines directly (and it may in the future) but that's more limited since it wouldn't get access to the search urls and the way the tabs would open would be controlled by Firefox, not your SSS settings.

    One of the best addons ! I subscribed just to post this, after "liquid words" was discontinued, I waited for an addon like that, and now I can tell this one is even better, Thanks !

    Could you add a feature where I could open a set of searches that are within two separators? As I usually group similar searches between two separators. Thanks.

    A huge time saver addon to do many searches very quickly to google maps, youtube, google translate, and many more.

    You can even add any site to search if you want.

    AMAZING ADDON!

    A tip on creating and adding your own custom searches by doing a search on a site that you are interested in. Do the search on the site you want with a keyword of your choice and then replace this keyword with {searchTerms}
    Example: en dot wikipedia dot org slash wiki Special:Search?search={searchTerms}
    This way, there are many sites where you can easily create your own custom searches and add them to the ones you already have available by default with this great addon Swift Selection Search.

    Das ist mal wirklich hilfreiches Addon. Vor allem, das man die zu verwendeten Seiten selbst anpassen kann. Ich nutze es schon einige Zeit und kann nichts negatives dazu sagen. Danke!

    could you make an option/shortcut to open selected text in terminal (/usr/bin/gnome-terminal)?

    Expansion can be and good, BUT it is necessary to add search plug-ins manually, it is a lot of unnecessary settings, and here in the Selection Context Search expansion everything is established automatically https://b.radikal.ru/b30/1907/9a/c048b4a524c8.jpg

    P.S. Dear Daniel, if you have time and an opportunity create here such plug-in to the addition, (that "SEARCH" automatic was added on any websites, as on a screenshot) then it the price will not be.

    Hi there and thanks for the review! :)

    I understand, but it's hard for me to maintain a decent list of search engines up to date for SSS's users, so I prefer if people add their own engines. You can also import the ones you use in the browser. People suggested creating a webpage where users could add the engines they are using, like a Wiki, though that would also have to be moderated and it's really hard to do that in my free time.

    Regarding the unnecessary settings, I also don't use most of the options, but almost all were user-suggested via email, GitHub or in reviews, so someone is finding them useful. ;) If you have ideas about what to do about them without removing them, I accept feedback!
