Very good already, not yet 5 star material as the customization options are not deep enough and/or are as of yet unelegant/convoluted. Some very obvious stuff is not implemented at all.

Just a taste:
-There are several greetings according to the time of day (Good evening/night/morning/etc), yet neither the times at which they are displayed nor the messages themselves are customizable beyond adding your name.
-You can't assign pictures/collections to different times of day. (Sunrise pics for 'Good morning', etc.)
-One font to rule them all!
-No option to use your favourite sites' favicons. You have to use generic ones, can't even import your own.
-Favourites can't be added as clickable snapshots, arrangeable in a grid.
-Adding these favourites is a bit arduous.
-No 'Export Settings' feature.

And there's more that (at least to my mind) is lacking. But the extension is relatively new and does what it says for free = 4 stars.

Deeper customization options, a less rudimentary UI for said customization = 5 Stars.

UPDATE: Since there is no momentum on the dev's side (despite donations) to implement the very basics of QoL features asked for, stars have to be deducted. Half-baked shite with no future prospects.

Very cool add-on! Adds an edge to my browsers and makes my laptop look super sleek whenever I'm just surfing the web and casually open a new beautiful tab. I love that I can upload my own HD photo too and the customization of it is great! No complaints at all!

As an extension this hits almost all of the points. It's very lightweight (only 200kb size compared to FVD for example which is 7.1MB in size), looks very clean and offers an adjustable background image rotation.

There are only two reasons why I can't give it 5 stars. First, when the description mentioned widget plugins I had hoped the functionality would be somewhat extendable which is sadly not the case. The existing widgets lack a lot of customization and the option to add custom CSS relieves only part of my need. Second, the description mentioned Speed Dial functionality, but in practice that's only a very limited link list. The option to assign an icon and title is great, but for someone who uses their new tab page like a visual bookmarks folder, it's not nearly good enough.

In summary, I love how clean and professional the new tab page looks and Tabliss does have some nice features, but it doesn't hit all the spots for someone who uses it to open links in a Speed Dial manner.
