Trail Overlay – Browser Extension Privacy Policy

What Data We Collect:
• Website content from Strava pages (read-only, not transmitted)
• Your Google Maps API key (optional, stored locally in your browser only)
• Extension usage data for functionality

What We Do With Your Data:
• Display mountain bike trails on Strava maps
• Store your Google Maps API key in browser storage for Street View previews
• No data is transmitted to external servers except:
- Required API calls to Strava and Google Maps APIs (with your API key)
- Anonymous diagnostics for extension stability (optional)

What We Don't Do:
• We do not collect or sell personal information
• We do not track your browsing activity
• We do not store sensitive data on remote servers
• Your Google Maps API key remains in your browser only

Data Protection:
• Google Maps API key is encrypted in browser storage
• No authentication credentials are accessed or stored
• All data stays within your browser unless explicitly sent to APIs

Third-Party Services:
• Strava API – to fetch public trail data
• Google Maps API – for Street View previews (only if you provide an API key)
• These services have their own privacy policies

Your Rights:
