Great app, gets rid of adverts. That being said, the chat hasn't worked at all since I've started (many months ago). The screen just stays white, can't see anything. Tried reinstalling etc.

Really cool and amazing extension. Would like a close button on the screen though or atleast make ESC work for closing aswell. :D

Addon is great - when it works. Chat broke again when I tried to chat about an hour ago. The chat displays nicely (without betterttv chat recently) but when I enter a message it shows the login window and then it just loads into black, leaving me unable to chat. Please fix. This addon is great for improving performance and keeping quality at its highest available setting.

This is the message that pups up on twitch on Firefox with the extension: Your browser is unable to play the video or audio. If this shit happens on all twitch.tv channels, then your browser does not support H.264 or AAC. In this case, please remove the "Alternate Player for Twitch.tv" extension from your browser.

love this extention. much better performance then the usual way.

Works great for the most part but despite doing what everybody else has tried chat currently isn't working for me. You may have better luck, it's worked for other people, but apparently the fix is to allow 3rd party cookies. Didn't work for me, might work for you.

Update 4/25: Reinstalled the add-on and the chat works now.

Not sure what happened, but as others reported, the chat is no longer working and hasn't going for two days now. Clearing my cookies like other have suggested did not work for me.

This is an amazing add-on and the best way to watch your favorite streams. I hope the author is aware of the add-on breaking and hoping for a speedy fix.

I love this add-on. I'm really sad because chat isn't working anymore :( . Besides that the functions are really useful and improves Twitch experience imo. Thanks guys!

Really like this addon. Something changed in permissions for Firefox addons and only the stream video is peaking through. It is it's own little sandbox separate from the other addons. A bummer, but not like I'll stop using the addon. There are other ways to get chat while they look at the issue

Chat works again, but I had to uninstall, clear cache, delete twitch cookies, restart browser, reinstall addon.

i created firefox account just to write this this review. twitch 5 is the only thing that fixed twitch buffering for me but for like a day now the chat is not working for some reason. this really a deal breaker and hampers twitch viewing experience. i urge the developer to look into this and fix it asap.
edit- i saw other reviews and see that people had this issue and fixed it by doing something related to cookies. can anybody help me with that

Does anyone know which cookies I need to make an exception for to be able to have chat work? Chat works fine if I have cookies set to always accept, but I don't want it to always accept for every website.

Edit: Fixed the cookies thing.

How comes each time I try signing in on twitch chat it just automatically signs me out and asks me to re sign in ? what am i doing wrong here?
