Love the extention, Sadly twitch patched it recently.

Up until maybe the 25th or so, the player now gets ads when it previously did not. I assume it just needs an update, but otherwise a great player that I've been using for a while now.

Great extension, only issue is the slight additional stream delay. Otherwise no problems

Over the past week or so I've noticed FF tabs crashing a lot more. If I refresh the tab in question the stream will come back, but opening another stream in another tab doesn't seem to activate the addon again. I have to close FF entirely and restart for it to work properly. Which isn't ideal.

Edit: Thanks for the response. Does that bug also account for the addon saying that the "Broadcast ended" for streams that are actually live? Or it that something different.

If I input " :-) " in chat box, will make it disappear.

Wonderful app. Fixes buffering issues I had when the chat goes wild, and the audio never becomes distorted. Very clean player. However, it's buggy. It crashes often if I leave it running when a stream ends.

I can't get my latency below 5-6 seconds even with the best settings available, while Normal Twitch Player has a 1 to 2 seconds delay in low latency mode.
Other than that, the extension is very good. Highly recommended if you have a low-end system because the CPU and RAM usage will be very low compared to normal Twitch Player.

Certainly helps with CPU but I feel there's one thing missing, picture in picture support. Is this something that can be added?

It's pretty good and doesn't stutter or gets stuck on loading, but chat doesn't work it just says "Failed to load modules" since two months at least.

Please note, the past couple days the extension has not been showing up at the top of the twitch page.

I wish Twitch itself would implement an audio-only stream... Thanks for this addon!

Edit (July 21th, 2025): Downrating to 4 stars; I'm not entirely sure what encrypted streams mean here, shouldn't be all streams encrypted (like DRM-style), or is this some extra encryption on top of the usual HTTPS-Encryption thing? Those streams don't work in this addon. Some clarification would be nice.

Windows for Whispers don't open correctly, and the sidebar on the left for live channels and online friends doesn't appear. Other than that, this is a very helpful add-on; I can actually *watch* streams instead of getting a mere slideshow.

Got problems on Firefox since their last update (72.0.1 (64 bits)). There is a green screen showing

Overall a very good add-on. 4 stars because of the white flash that occurs whenever starting any stream, it is kinda annoying and would give 5 star if it gets fixed.

Amazing, but recently having troubles with the chat, asks to login every time i chat and pops up a second window to login but doesnt work????

Good add-on. Works better then the normal twitch website for me.

Only problem is that since a few weeks the chat doesn't work. It keeps asking me te login and when i do nothing happens. So i either have to not chat or switch to normal website (which keeps switching the quality settings...)

This extension is one of the most important plugins I run. The ability to resize the playing window is absolutely game changing. All the customization options are extremely helpful. I would LOVE something like this for Youtube... hint hint

EDIT: Like SPF before me, for some reason this extension will load the stream player itself but won't load the chat in Firefox. But I did notice that with this extension, chat loads without a problem in a Firefox fork like Comodo IceDragon.

It's pretty great, just set it up by yourself, it's more advanced then the default one of course.

But how to play archived streams? I tried adding this after ext. adress -> "player.html?videos=421388813" but of course that didn't help. Any way how to play archives?

It's great for live videos but I wish it could work on VODs as well.

Will this exrtntion support low lentacy?
Minuum lentacy is about 6s for now.
