Once the best video downloader, now it doesn't work anymore, what a pity they stopped it :((

ABSOLUTELY USELESS. Used to work fine but last couple of months, nothing. Only site it works on is momless. Doesnt work on YT, Dailymotion, bitchute or any other video streaming site. Always get the "native app not working" or "native app error needs to be on to merge segments". If it does detect a video the download will fail because the server will stop working. Utter trash.

It also chews up an ENORMOUS amount of ram which leads to Firfox freezing AND it has some really sus permissions like download history.

I shouldnt have to clear my cache everytime I want to download a video then lose all my log ins.

Not working with native app...

Was once the best out there, but now discontinued abruptly and without explanation after months of flagging functionality. DO NOT INSTALL.

Does not work with YouTube. YouTube occasionally re-engineers its streams to thwart downloading. The makers of Ant Video Downloader have not updated their extension in some time, as if that is not a priority.

says "the use of native app is disabled in the settings" but when you click on the message it opens a black page.

the supposed explanatory page has a general screenshot of the settings menu with no specific setting shown.

no setting in the privacy tab in the setting makes any sense about the disabling the app.

support page requires a signing up process.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD it uses the computer resources without the users permission, it looks like it was soft mining in the background.

it is not discovering the stream videos , even if the video plays.

Every time Ant requests to download native apps data. I don't agree with this system. The video conversion should be managed by Ant and give back a link for download. Otherwise it becomes like a program to install on pc.

Installed it. It then immediately redirected me browser to something one of my adblock filter lists considered a malware risk site.

Used to be good now it will crash firefox.
