There is a HUGE overlay of a QR code in a corner of the downloaded videos.

Doesnt really work. Dont know on what side this works but not on common sites I use.

Spent 40 minutes waiting for a video to download. At the end it tells me that it embedded a gigantic watermark because I didn't buy a $30 "conversion license". That would have been useful to know at the start so I didn't waste my time with this garbage. I installed a standalone program instead (youtube-dl), and got the video downloaded in 10 seconds for free, without the watermark.

A huge QR code on the video with no notification before downloading a big video, go hell!

Too many permissions... some of them not necessary. Your privacy could be broken. Long time ago works fine.

Crapware always says media manifest cant be found, downloads fail from every site on the net.

I've used this addon for almost ten years; the recent changes pushing watermarks into videos - the need for an external 'converter' (even when you don't want to convert) along with the changes in the download window are all forcing me to drop this from 5 stars to ONE. I can not recommend this for use... its a real shame; this developer has talent and used to offer a great product.

I used this before, and it worked fine, but I haven't downloaded anything in quite a while. I decided to try to download a song to try my hand at making a BeatSaber map, and now every time I try to download anything it just wants me to download a companion app. I got an add-on so I could just download from my browser! If I wanted to use some crappy app, there are plenty of others I could use. Completely worthless.

You will be forced to pay $30 or you will have giant watermark on your videos. DO NOT LOSE YOUR TIME WITH THIS ADD-ON.

current edit: now the app changed. a qr-code is inserted, which would be ok considering I use the free version. But one mayor problem comes with this: after each download it takes huge amounts of time and processing power to insert this qr code into the video which makes the addon practically unusable. Proposal: Wouldn't it be much faster, less processing intensive and overall better to insert a short "downloader by downloaderhelper"-clip at the beginning/end of the video?

This WAS great. Now expensive and adds "watermark" covering half the video unless you pay far too much. I'll be looking for something else.
Please go back to the way you used to be.
