you should write a blog post "how to eff-up a pretty good downloader in one update" I noted this change earlier in the chromium browsers like Brave etc, Yesterday the same crud was pushed into Firefox. I don't understand the thinking, it's awful, going backwards in functionality (apparently) I've removed the five stars I put up not long after this addon first appeared and replaced it with this. Looks like the number of decent downloaders gets even smaller. Remove it and put the earlier one back up

As others have stated, version 10 came with a fresh coat of paint and widescale destruction of previously working functionality. I, and many others have had to downgrade until these issues are fixed.

Guys... you have a beta testing branch. Isn't this the kind of stuff that should be staying there, until it's actually functional?

Video Download Helper was the number 1 extension for downloads but the December automatic update killed the app. I had to download to version 9.5.0.2 and turn off automatic updates. Downloads now work again. Fix the problem with version 10.0.271.2 and I will give you 5 stars again.

V10 removes %pathname from smart naming makes one click saving a multistep operation(not sure if CSS selectors can replace, beyond my current knowledge), not sure why it was removed, you would think basic path names would still be useful.

Back on 9.5 until it's fixed, I find an alternate extension or workout CSS selectors for pathname. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The author of this extension. You're asking too much, buddy. Not only does the author ask you to install the program on your computer, but he also asks for too many permissions. With this kind of success, I might as well just use the built-in software from the graphics card manufacturer and simply record the screen. Or use free software to record any signal source in two clicks. Unfortunately, this is one of the worst extensions for Firefox. This buddy even asks for money.

Hate the new update. It's clunky and difficult to manage. Many options are just gone. Please revert.

update unwittingly ruined my downloads. now its useless trash. now deleted from my pc. shame. i though it was a good addon until latest update.

No loading, low speed, stable after updates

I had to go in and redo a lot of my preferences after the most recent update. Apparently I'm not the only one annoyed by it. Thankfully I was able to get the new add-on to work as it did. But that I had to take time to do so, with a completely new layout, after a single update is extremely frustrating.

(UPDATED Review) V10 is still causing major problems for me. I have rolled back to the previous version 9.5. If you use V10 and it's working for you, that's great. I still say V9.5 is 5 stars, V10 is 1 star for me. (Troubleshooting continues)

Ruined it. New version just popped up on my install and now my downloads don't complete, they stall and sites I've left continue to try and offer downloads. RUINED IT.

This is the best to download. I could use this with AudioHero.com to grab those SFXs and maybe some music.

Excellent module, fast and convenient, easy to use and works on many many video players. Repost because : December 2025 update is aweful as of now, let's wait and see if functionalities come back.

Unusable after the newest update. Every download fails.

What have you done? The Dec 25 update is awful. The interface is terrible and there is no option to use the old interface and download method meaning you are forced to use the built in crappy slow downloader. You took one of the most useful extensions and flushed it down the toilet.
