The Wandering Music Box plays music as you read on wanderinginn.com, adapting to where you're reading within a chapter. Just like a literal RPG would have music for different zones, each passage in a chapter gets its own background music.'

FAQ:

• Can I used it on my phone?
  -- For Android, Firefox works. The Android version of Chrome doesn't
  support extensions.
  -- For iOS, neithor Chrome nor Firefox supports extensions.
  There may be some other niche browsers (Orion?) that do,
  but I haven't tested them.
• How does it know which part I'm reading?
  -- By default, it uses the position of your mouse (if you have one)
  or the middle of your screen (touch screen).
  You can change this behavior in the settings menu.
• Won't it break every time pirateaba fixes a typo?
  -- No, typo fixes and minor edits won't break anything.
  -- Heavier revisions can make the extension 'lose' paragraphs, but it will still add music for any paragraphs it can find. Please contact me if you think this is happening, so I can update the file for that chapter.
• What's the process for writing a chapter's score?
  -- First, I reread the chapter and make an outline of the major scenes along with time estimates for how long they should take to read, based on word count and reading speed.
  -- Then I write the actual music, a mix of playing it on keyboard and writing the notes straight into a MIDI sequencer. Sampled instruments and synths then convert the notes to sound. That's all fairly standard music production stuff.
  -- Finally, I write a file that tells the extension which tracks should play for each passage in the chapter, along with how to transition between them.
