Promotions DON'T WORK, Coupons DON'T WORK, and worse is that contacting Capital one about the problems with their app DOESN'T WORK either. Samuel L. Jackson is awesome but this Mother F$^%#@& Capital One Shopping app DOESN'T WORK or do anything but waste your time.
- Wurdearring: 1 fan 5troch Parker Mauney, 3 jierren lynThis add-on launches many requests without any user interaction if it detects a coupon code section on a page. Sometimes it'll roll through as many as 20 different codes, applying each of them to determine the amount saved. Often times this automatic runaway process straight up breaks sites or shopping carts by triggering rate limiters or overriding manually-selected discounts/affinities. The settings are - I believe - somehow managed through the capitaloneshopping web site, but it is not at all clear what settings will change what behavior in the add-on. If the Capital One name were not tied to this add-on then I would instantly disregard it as malicious. The links section here all point to generic web pages that are not at all related to the add-on which frankly behaves like it's compromised.

- Wurdearring: 1 fan 5troch Firefox-brûker 17897492, 3 jierren lynI have had this for years and as far as I can tell it has never ever actually saved a dime. Claims to find a discount but never ever actually applies one.

- Wurdearring: 1 fan 5troch Twinderella, 3 jierren lynI uninstalled this app because it was useless and I am STILL getting pop ups or it, and not just on Firefox where I added it, but ALL of my browsers! AVOID THIS AT ALL COSTS!
- Wurdearring: 1 fan 5troch TrumpnKrittenhouse2024, 3 jierren lynwell it saved me over 40$ on a samsung ontop of my cards cashback.
apparently im the absolutely only person who cant access the rewards /account section of this webpage. doesnt matter what device/browser. there is no banalance of my rewards at top right cornerif i click anythin g account related its a perpetual cycle of login click booted out, - Wurdearring: 1 fan 5troch Firefox-brûker 16492947, 4 jierren lynCan't sign in using google or facebook and they force you to make an account so they can spam you. Eat a fat one Capital One.
- Wurdearring: 1 fan 5troch Firefox-brûker 17579239, 4 jierren lynThis addon will find valid coupons from time to time. However, it will automatically apply coupons any chance it gets and you have ZERO control over the behavior. Have a nice 25% off coupon? Awesome! This widget will overwrite it with an expired, invalid, or 5% off coupon automatically as you check out, and automatically hose your purchases. PITA to deal with this plugin and keep correcting it's unwanted automated behavior, on a slow system or connection.
- Wurdearring: 1 fan 5troch Gary9450, 4 jierren lynIf you use this app, then make sure you spend a little time searching for a better price elsewhere for an item on Amazon that this app says is the "Best Price." My experience taught me that most of the time there are lower prices for the same item than on Amazon, and Capital One Shopping app doesn't find them (plus, it mostly checks only eBay prices). Try it, you'll see.
- Wurdearring: 1 fan 5troch J. Charles, 4 jierren lynIn summary: only use this app if you're willing to gamble that you will eventually get the rewards! There is no phone support, and I am not convinced that their email support is competent!
After installing this add-on, it recommended I purchase something from a different site than Amazon.com so I can save more money after cash back. I made sure the offer was activated before my purchase - the add-on indicated it was. Two months after my purchase, I still haven't received the cash back.
There is no phone support for CapitalOne Shopping - you can only email them. Regular CapitalOne credit card support will not help you with CapitalOne Shopping issues.
I emailed them about my purchase on Chewy.com and they responded that they did not see any record of a Macys.com purchase (!?). I emailed back that it was through Chewy.com and they said they still found no trace of it. I asked if they could give me credit given I have a receipt and I used the card and followed all instructions, but they have not done so. I'm afraid that I will never get my rewards...
The coupon codes also usually don't work at all. - Wurdearring: 1 fan 5troch reluctantchef, 4 jierren lynI tested this app looking for 32" computer monitors. The results showed 1000s of non-monitor items and did not show real pricing. Also, the search results showed many items that were out of stock, in addition to showing incorrect (lower than actual) pricing, when the listing was actually a computer monitor. This app is at best a waste of time, and more likely a back door into your online purchases.
- Wurdearring: 1 fan 5troch J-FF, 4 jierren lynThis extension does NOT effectively or accurately do what it claims -- the exaggerated claim masks what it really is: A universal tracker and data collection app for everything you see and do with Firefox. You have to provide an email address to use it! I ran a test based on a purchase I made the day before: I found a specific SSD drive on Amazon with their best price of $74.50 but then looked around and found it on Ebay for $68.00 and bought it there. So today, after installing this extension, I ran the exact same purchase test on Amazon: After the $74.50 price came up on Amazon the Capital One Shopper did NOT pop up with the price of $68.00 on Ebay (or anywhere else).
The access permissions for this extension enable it to collect your PERSONAL, NON-ANONYMOUS data on absolutely EVERYTHING you do in Firefox in real time from all open tabs and searches. Then, by its own admission, immediately sends this personalized data back to Capital One for their use and storage (and ostensibly so they can find you "like, the absolute bestest price EVER!") Sure the user agrees to this during installation, but how many people realize just how invasive it is and that it really does not do what it claims very well? This extension crosses the line into serious privacy abuse and seems like it may even present a security vulnerability to the Firefox platform.
Do not install it and open the account they require for it to operate "just to give it a try" because the second it becomes active in your Firefox it will immediately grab everything it can find and send it to Capital One with your name and email address on it. And they don't let you change the email address you give them when activating the extension. - Wurdearring: 1 fan 5troch Firefox-brûker 17446236, 4 jierren lynI don't understand what this is supposed to do. They say it saves you money. When I downloaded and tried to use it, it literally doesn't do anything. The extension is so poorly built that it can't even recognize an authenticated session within the browser - which means you can't use it for anything. I am using a fresh install of Firefox in a brand new install of Windows so it's not my cache, history, etc. as I have none.
Don't waste your time with this and ignore Capital One's claims and advertisements that they are better than Amazon (LMFAO). Capital one is a scrub compared to Amazon and this extension proves exactly that.
