HOW IT WORKS

1. Open a web page in Firefox for Android.
2. Choose "Enable on this site" when prompted.
3. Select text, choose a highlight color, and optionally add a comment.
4. Return to the page later and your highlights will be restored automatically.
5. Open Settings from the add-on menu to sign in, browse your Local pages, or manage your account.

You choose which websites ZetaMarker can run on. Once you enable a site, ZetaMarker can restore your highlights there without asking you to enable it again on every visit. You can decline a site or turn highlighting off later.

📱 LOCAL FIRST, CLOUD SYNC WHEN YOU WANT IT

ZetaMarker is designed to work locally by default.

When you're signed out:

• Your highlights, comments, page notes, and site choices remain in the browser's local storage on your device.
• Nothing is sent to ZetaMarker's servers for cloud synchronization.

When you sign in:

• ZetaMarker securely connects to your ZetaMarker account.
• Cloud synchronization may transmit page URLs, highlighted text, comments, and page notes so they can appear in your web dashboard and on other signed-in devices.
• Your account is also used to manage your library and determine your trial or subscription status.
• We do not sell your data.

Local pages lets you browse and search what you've saved on this Android device without signing in. Its search covers page titles, URLs, highlighted text, comments, and page notes.

The web dashboard provides access to your cloud library and additional features such as search, hierarchical labels, and export for eligible plans. You can also upload local PDF files to the web dashboard and annotate them directly there.

These are separate libraries and search experiences:

• The web dashboard searches your cloud-synchronized library.

ZetaMarker asks for website access so it can highlight and restore content on the sites you choose to enable. It does not automatically activate highlighting on every website you visit.

You control which sites ZetaMarker runs on. You can decline a site or turn highlighting off later.

Local data is stored on your device when you're signed out. When you sign in and enable cloud synchronization, the information needed to provide that service is transmitted to ZetaMarker's servers.
