- Wurdearring: 1 fan 5troch JonnyOne, 8 jierren lynHello, this addons is pretty useless. Please make one to lock the zoom level for all opened tabs, and new tabs. Something like default zoom level.
I need to install a crx from chrome store for this functionality.
answer.
so, to modify a simple number (default zoom level), i have to make 6-7 different mouse clicks in different menu's?
no, sorry, better install
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/zoom-tab/legekacjhcjbkhjnggkbbibckddakkaa
i re-ask you if you can make a simple addon to do this in the more easy way. If you can't, or simply dont want, thanks anyway.Antwurd ûntwikkeler
8 jierren lyn pleatstZoom Page WE 6.4 now lets you set the default zoom level from the toolbar button popup.
Just 'Ctrl+click' on the zoom 'Reset' button and this will set the default zoom level to the currently displayed zoom level. - Wurdearring: 1 fan 5troch ers2258, 9 jierren lynAutofit STILL DOES NOT WORK!
Really nothing more than a Beta update time after time with each newer version.
Dev fix this "THEN" release a WE Version that actually works instead of using the rest of us users a test pilots.Antwurd ûntwikkeler
8 jierren lyn pleatstThe 'AutoFit' button does a one-off fit-to-width operation that automatically resizes the page contents to fit the page width.
There is an option to automatically apply AutoFit every time a page is loaded and when the browser window is resized. This option is called 'Apply AutoFit zoom instead of default zoom level'. - Wurdearring: 3 fan 5troch Umagic65, 9 jierren lynFor some odd reason, this addon will not automatically scale images to fit within the window; it makes them huge when I want ALL of them to fit and it will not quit.
It's like the "autofit" function doesn't even work. I have to resize all the pictures BY HAND.
Otherwise, this is a worthy replacement for the almighty "Zoom Page" addon (which had an autofit function that actually worked AUTOMATICALLY).Antwurd ûntwikkeler
8 jierren lyn pleatstZoom Page WE 7.1 extends Firefox's 'View Image' functionality to scale small images to fit the browser window.
Note, this image scale feature is separate from the page AutoFit feature (which is suspended when viewing images). Antwurd ûntwikkeler
9 jierren lyn pleatstWhich operating system are you using? Which version of Firefox are you using?- Wurdearring: 4 fan 5troch Ziwdon, 9 jierren lynThis addon is a must have for me. Although this new version still appears to have some bugs (some sites do not seem to be affected for instance) and can be improved.
Still, great addon!Antwurd ûntwikkeler
9 jierren lyn pleatstThe new WebExtensions API's do not allow certain types of operations on a few pages, specifically:
- about:
- moz-extension:
- https://addons.mozilla.org - Wurdearring: 2 fan 5troch Firefox-brûker 13333065, 9 jierren lynMost users just want to magnify the browser up to a preset level. Why would you change that and make it so hard just to set a default level, as in the previous iteration?
I was just about to uninstall add on because I could find no obvious way to set the default zoom level. Not one word of explanation is offered--just endless and (for me) pointless discussions about what the add on could do. Very strange.
By reading the reviews I found some hints on how to set the default level and was able to make the desired zoom adjustment.
The product is excellent. The instructions for busy people are horrendously bad. Do something about it if you want to have success.Antwurd ûntwikkeler
9 jierren lyn pleatstThis issue is caused by Mozilla's design, not by Zoom Page WE.
Once you have discovered how to access the Options dialog, then setting the required options is very simple.
For some bizarre reason, Mozilla have decided to place the Options dialog (for add-ons that use the new WebExtensions API's) at the end of the add-on description page. - Wurdearring: 5 fan 5troch joefiesta, 9 jierren lynNew, 20210608:
Your help states:
Zoom Page WE is implemented using the new WebExtensions API and is available for both Firefox and Chrome with identical functions and user interfaces.
I find this slightly incorrect. When I export per-site option in FF, the filetype is .TXT. From Chrome, the filetype is .JSON.
Not such a problem, but, I can't import the FF per-site options to CHROME, even if I change the filetype to .JSON
The onlyi thing I see may be a problem is the final statement from FF is
"subsitetypes":{},
}
It has a trailing comma, but when I export from Chrome there is none.
Can I import FF options into Chrome and how?

Old:
I justinstalled Zoom Page WE. (getting away from Zoom Page).
It breaks the following page:
https://www.ebay.com/dsc/Fiesta-Vintage/87/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=&LH_TitleDesc=1&_sop=10
I get the "unresponsive script" dialog. Does it consistently. I disable ZoompageWE and the page refreshes fine.
Running FF 52.4.0 EST... win 7 Pro, 32 bit
Addition, 10/4: Maybe I'm doing something wrong, But, it looks like I can not make more than one review. I wanted to list each problem in a separate review, but it looks like Mozilla deletes a previous review when I make a new one. So, communicating problems with reviews is problematic.
My second problem:
I set up the options to define customized zoom amounts(30, 40 50, etc) . I also set the Zoom In/Out to fixed steps of 4%.
using CTRL+ and CTRL- makes the zoom amount change by the "customized zoom amounts". Using the drop down menu + and - makes the zoom amounts change by the "In/Out fixed steps" amounts.
a. This is not documented
b. This is clumsy. That is, using the drop down menu is clumsy just to change a zoom amount. Any time I have to pick up the mouse and use it I am not happy. It would be perfect if I could define a keyboard shortcut for the two zoom by In/Out fixed amount functions. Or, just have them defined (maybe ctrl 11 and ctrl 12 or anything besides the mouse).Antwurd ûntwikkeler
8 jierren lyn pleatstThe unresponsive script problem is fixed in Zoom Page WE 6.2.
With regards to the Ctrl+- and Ctrl++ keyboard shortcuts, iIt depends on whether the page contents are focused or something else (e.g. the address bar) is focused.
If the page contents are focused, then Ctrl+0, Ctrl+- & Ctrl++ will use the user-defined zoom levels or zoom step.
If something else (e.g. the address bar) is focused, then Ctrl+0, Ctrl+- & Ctrl++ will use the standard Firefox zoom levels. - Wurdearring: 5 fan 5troch gugarci, 9 jierren lynJust upgraded to this version this morning. I knew how to access the option menu because I had use the previous version that worked on earlier version of Firefox. But when I saw the option dialog box at the bottom of the option page I thought it was an image of the menu not the actual option menu. Sent email to the developer who responded within a minute of sending him a support email. All is well.
Outstanding! - Wurdearring: 1 fan 5troch orosion, 9 jierren lynWhen clicking in the "preferences" button it shows the description, not the options dialog !!!
By the way, there is no "options" button.Antwurd ûntwikkeler
9 jierren lyn pleatstThe pages shown by the 'More' link and the 'Options' (or 'Preferences') button are identical. The Zoom Page WE Options are at the bottom of the page. That is how Mozilla has designed it! - Wurdearring: 4 fan 5troch bruceb, 9 jierren lynWill this new version work with FF 52.4.0 ESR or only with FF 57 and later ? ? Same question for your Print Edit WE add on ... Thank you
Antwurd ûntwikkeler
9 jierren lyn pleatstZoom Page WE and Print Edit WE are both compatible with Firefox 51 and later versions. - Wurdearring: 1 fan 5troch Firefox User, 9 jierren lynAll the latest reviews are correct.
Limited functionality - I don't have time or patience to re-zoom every page, every time I reload it.
Set Zoom level once, and forget it. Should be that simple.
Have used the old version for years - time to find a new one.Antwurd ûntwikkeler
9 jierren lyn pleatstYou just need to set the default zoom level. Please see the reply to the review by John Watson below. - Wurdearring: 4 fan 5troch John Watson, 9 jierren lynEdit: Thanks for your reply, developer!
I found the options, thank you.
But why are they so hidden? You should make a shortcut to the options when you click the button in the add-on bar.
Aside from that, all is good.Antwurd ûntwikkeler
9 jierren lyn pleatstTo access the Zoom Page WE options:
- If the Firefox menu bar is not visible, press F10 to show the menu bar.
- On the Firefox menu bar, click on 'Tools' and then click on 'Add-ons', to show the Add-ons Manager.
- In the Add-ons Manager, click on the 'Extensions' tab, to show a list of all installed add-ons.
- Now click on the Zoom Page WE 'Options' button, to show the Zoom Page WE description page.
- Now scroll to the bottom of the description page, where you will see the ‘Zoom Page WE Options’ dialog.
To set the Default Zoom Level for all pages:
- In the ‘Zoom Page WE Options’ dialog, click on the ‘Zoom Levels & Font Size’ tab.
- Change the value in the ‘Default Levels (%): Full’ box from ‘100’ to your preferred default zoom level.
- Click on the ‘Save’ button to save the option settings. - Wurdearring: 1 fan 5troch Firefox-brûker 12303357, 9 jierren lynhaving to click on it and then choose is clumsy. The plus and Minus for zoom should be visible without having to open it.
Zoom page by someone else is 1000 times better. But I appreciate you being here for us to choose. Maybe if you could just fix and make cleaner this app I will give it five starsAntwurd ûntwikkeler
9 jierren lyn pleatstIt is not possible for "new-style" (WebExtensions) add-ons to have multiple buttons on the toolbar.
The original (legacy) Zoom Page will not work with Firefox 57 or later versions.
The original Zoom Page extension was also developed by dw-dev. - Wurdearring: 4 fan 5troch Thomas, 9 jierren lynwould it be possible to add the same controls as in the "old" addon? just - + and % in the tab bar.
- Wurdearring: 4 fan 5troch Salaam, 9 jierren lynHi,
The zoomed pages are now reset to the default zoom (for about a second) before they're zoomed again to their specified value. Please fix it!
Note that the AutoFit Zoom is turned off & I'm using FF v56.0 x64.
Thank you so much for your wonderful addon :)Antwurd ûntwikkeler
9 jierren lyn pleatstThis problem is fixed in Zoom Page WE 6.1, which has just been released. - Wurdearring: 5 fan 5troch SharpSA, 9 jierren lynIt is working good for me, but there is no complete automatic alignment to the width of the current window so you do not have to click it.
Antwurd ûntwikkeler
9 jierren lyn pleatstZoom Page WE 6.0 implements fully automatic fit-to-width.
To turn on this feature you must enable the 'Apply AutoFit zoom instead of default zoom level' option. - Wurdearring: 5 fan 5troch tmk333, 9 jierren lynI have no complain about the functionality, hence the 5 stars. :)
Just want to ask is it possible to make it zoom in/out by scrolling over the button? I am not sure if it is possible with WE but it will be a very nice thing to have.Antwurd ûntwikkeler
9 jierren lyn pleatstIt is not possible to zoom in/out by scrolling over the toolbar button, because the WebExtensions APIs do not provide a listener for these scroll events.
However, you can zoom in/out by scrolling over the button popup or by Ctrl+scrolling over the page contents. - Wurdearring: 4 fan 5troch Firefox-brûker 13306618, 9 jierren lynA very useful add-on, helps my ageing eyes to read on a Surface screen.
I feel the ability to set a default zoom should be part of FF out-of-the-box as it is in MS Edge, but this app nicely fills that gap.
One weird thing is that the 'Options' and 'More' screens (available from the FF Extensions page) show the same information. I expected the 'Options' page just to show the options settings without repeating the details from the 'More' screen and vice versa. As it is now they seem to be identical.Antwurd ûntwikkeler
9 jierren lyn pleatstThe 'More' link and 'Options' button in the Add-ons Manager do show the same information.
To access the Zoom Page WE options you must scroll to the bottom of either page.
This is a feature of Firefox and applies to all WebExtensions add-ons. It would have been more logical if the 'Options' button only showed the add-on options. - Wurdearring: 5 fan 5troch Pavel777, 9 jierren lynStarting with version 5.2, the set scale of the page "chrome: //fvd.speeddial/content/fvd_about_blank.html" is not saved.

This problem is fixed in Zoom Page WE 5.4. - Wurdearring: 5 fan 5troch Firefox-brûker 13287805, 9 jierren lynZoom page doesn't work well with many popup plugin, Zoom page WE fixes this problem
- Wurdearring: 5 fan 5troch Firefox-brûker 13285367, 9 jierren lynWorks perfectly fine for me :)
Exactly what I was looking for
Thanks - Wurdearring: 3 fan 5troch Phil, 9 jierren lynSetting a minimum font size considerably slows down typing inside a search box with autocomplete. I'll keep using the extension but using the zoom option instead of minimum font size. Another reviewer mentions the extension is overloading the CPU, and the devs of the app replying it has to do with text zoom and minimum font size. They introduced a lite mode in the last version (which disables these features). I think they should fix it, or remove the features entirely.

thanks! 5.2 or 5.3 didn't do the trick. still the same issues, but what did the trick was checking full zoom only. Now it's fine.Antwurd ûntwikkeler
9 jierren lyn pleatstThis issue should be fixed by Zoom Page WE 5.4.
Zoom Page WE 5.4 has been submitted to Mozilla for review and release, which will probably take a couple of days.
Please post again if this issue is not fixed.
