How it works

1. Open a supported YouTube video, Short, embed, or youtu.be link.
2. Click the 11tik extension icon.
3. The extension reads the current tab URL locally and extracts the YouTube Video ID.
4. It checks available public thumbnail sizes and selects the best available result.
5. Preview the thumbnail and use the available actions.

Privacy-friendly by design

Normal extraction is performed in the browser. The extension does not send the YouTube URL or Video ID to an 11tik backend during thumbnail discovery.

The extension requests public thumbnail resources from YouTube's thumbnail infrastructure at i.ytimg.com to find, preview, and download available thumbnails.

The 11tik website is used only when you explicitly choose an action such as Open in 11tik. Copying the 11tik link is a local action and does not require a network request.

The extension does not use analytics, advertising trackers, browsing-history collection, background data collection, or third-party tracking.
