This extension does not track your browsing history, does not use analytics, and does not sell your data.

The extension only reads the URL of the active tab you are currently viewing ONLY when you explicitly click the "Shorten URL" button. This URL is then sent to the official 4Srt.me API (https://4srt.me/api/links) to generate a shortened link.

Your personal API key is stored securely within your browser's local storage (storage.local) and is never transmitted anywhere other than to authenticate your requests to the 4Srt API. No other personal data is collected or stored by this extension.
