automatically handling ads and creator sponsorship segments.

Features:
• Automatically activates YouTube's available Skip Ad action
• Mutes and accelerates non-skippable ads
• Removes common promoted and overlay ad elements
• Restores your original volume, mute state and playback speed
• Automatically skips creator sponsorship segments using SponsorBlock
• Lets you enable or disable protection from the extension popup
• Keeps local statistics for handled ads

The extension does not use browser debugging permissions and does not
execute remotely hosted code.

Ad Shield for YouTube™ runs only on YouTube.

It automatically activates YouTube's available Skip Ad controls, mutes and accelerates non-skippable ads, and can skip creator sponsorship segments using SponsorBlock community data.

The extension does not use the debugger permission, does not execute remote code, and does not collect personal user data.

SponsorBlock lookups use a privacy-preserving SHA-256 hash-prefix request rather than sending the full YouTube video ID.
