askYoutube helps you understand YouTube videos faster using the AI assistant you already use.

The extension adds a convenient prompt panel below YouTube videos. Enter a question, select ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Grok, and askYoutube prepares the video's transcript together with your prompt and sends it to your selected AI assistant.

Use askYoutube to:

• Summarize long videos and podcasts
• Ask specific questions about a video's content
• Find explanations, examples, and key takeaways
• Extract steps and action items from tutorials
• Analyze claims and arguments
• Translate or clarify parts of a transcript
• Reference relevant timestamps when available

askYoutube does not provide its own AI model. It works with your own session on the supported AI assistant.
