Perfect for my 8gb ram laptop.

Very good work! This extension effectively reduces the RAM usage. Among all these extensions with similar function, Auto Tab Discard works best and is the most configurable.

The best memory saver I've ever used!

I'm a little bit of a tab hoarder... And that results in all of my 32GB of RAM filling up all the time. Then I need to close the browser and open it again, to free up my RAM. My next planned step before knowing about this extension was to buy more RAM.

But this extension fixes the problem. All tabs that are not used just get their resources freed after some time. How this is not a standard feature in Firefox baffles me... So it goes without saying; This is a great extension!

Lightweight and useful

I've found Auto Tab Discard very useful for many years. It keeps my browser running smooth, even when I've got upwards of 400 tabs open.

Awesome extension. Very useful for managing sleeping tabs automatically and/or manually.

Fantastic add-on. One feature request though - could you add the ability to not automatically reload the tab when viewing a discarded tab. In other words, if I click on a discarded tab, it should show a "discarded tab" page and only when I "click" on the page should it load. The reason is that lots of time I accidentally switch to a discarded tab and then it loads the tab when I really wanted it to stay discarded. This is a feature that the Marvellous Suspender has and I think it would be a great feature addition here.
