Better Gemini gives Google Gemini the power-user upgrades it's missing — a wider chat layout, address-bar quick launch, one-click exports, and 40+ keyboard shortcuts. Everything runs locally in your browser. No accounts, no tracking, nothing leaves your machine.

- Wide chat layout — expands the conversation to about 98% of the window so you stop reading Gemini through a narrow column.
- Quick launch from the address bar — type "gem", then your prompt, and press Enter to jump straight into Gemini with the prompt already sent. Open it in the current tab, a new tab, or quietly in the background.
- Copy as Markdown — adds a "Copy MD" button to every response so you can paste clean Markdown into your notes, docs, or editor.
- Export full chat — one click saves or copies the entire conversation as a tidy Markdown file.
- 40+ keyboard shortcuts — create, delete, and navigate chats, edit, copy, and share without leaving the keyboard. Press the help hotkey for the full list.
- Default model picker — automatically selects your preferred Gemini model on every new chat.

Every feature is a toggle — turn on only what you want from the popup or the options page.

Privacy first
Better Gemini runs entirely on your machine and only on gemini.google.com. There is no analytics, no tracking, and no third-party data collection — the add-on declares "no" data collection to Firefox. It uses your own Gemini session and never sends your prompts or chats anywhere.
