Conversation Exporter for ChatGPT does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data.


The extension reads the ChatGPT conversation that is open in the active tab only after the user selects the export button. It requests the complete conversation from the same signed-in ChatGPT origin using the current session token in memory. The token is never logged, stored, included in the PDF, or sent to another service.

The conversation is formatted locally in the active browser tab. PDFs are passed to Firefox's built-in PDF generator; Markdown, HTML, and JSON files are passed directly to Firefox's Downloads API. No conversation content is sent to the extension developer or any third party.


Export preferences are stored with Firefox's storage.local API in the current browser profile. These preferences contain layout choices only, such as paper size and whether to include timestamps. They do not contain conversation content or account identifiers.


The extension contains no analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, remote code, or third-party network requests.


Firefox removes the extension's locally stored preferences when the extension is uninstalled, subject to the user's Firefox configuration.
