この拡張機能について
Price Tag converts prices on any web page into the currency you use – without leaving the page.
How it works
Select a price, for example "£432.59", "12 345 kr" or "USD 3.2 million".
Right-click. The converted amount is shown right in the menu.
Click it to open a small card with the result, three more currencies, the exchange rate and its age.
What you get
Understands symbols, ISO codes and magnitude words (K, M, B, million, miljard and more).
Reads the page language to tell short-scale from long-scale "billion".
Result card with the amount in your default currency plus up to nine extra currencies in up to three rows.
Click the currency code to switch, or type it (e.g. "jap" suggests JPY).
Rounded or exact numbers, copy to clipboard with one click (or press C).
Light and dark theme, several accent colours, English and Swedish.
Shows how old the exchange rates are, and warns when they are more than a day old.
Privacy
The text you select never leaves your browser. Conversion happens locally.
The only network request is a download of exchange rates from api.frankfurter.dev (European Central Bank and other central-bank reference rates). No selected text, page address or personal data is sent.
No accounts, no tracking, no analytics, no ads.
Settings and recently used currencies are stored locally in your browser.
Privacy and permissions
The "all websites" host permission is only used so that Firefox passes the selected text to the context menu (menus.onShown), which lets the converted amount appear in the menu item title. The extension also works without it: the menu then just reads "Price Tag", and clicking it opens the result card as usual (selection text is provided by menus.onClicked and activeTab grants access to the current tab). Selected text is parsed locally and is never stored or sent anywhere.
Storage: your settings and default currency.
Alarms: refreshes the exchange rates a few times a day.
Scripting / active tab: shows the result card on the page you are using.
Clipboard write: the copy button.
Rates are reference rates published once per working day and are for information only, not for trading or financial advice.
