The saveto.me browser extension processes information only when the user explicitly chooses to save a page, link, or selected text. It reads the relevant page or link URL and may read the page title and text selected by the user. The extension transfers that information securely to saveto.me solely to create or update the library item requested by the user.

The extension does not continuously monitor browsing activity, sell browsing information, display advertising, or transmit page information before the user initiates a save action. Capture details are placed in a browser-only URL fragment and removed immediately after the saveto.me application reads them, so the captured URL, title, and selected text are not included in the HTTP request URL sent to the server.

Users can review, edit, export, or delete captured information from their saveto.me library.
