SecureHive Shadow AI detects visits to AI-powered web tools and reports configurable detection metadata to the organization’s SecureHive environment.

Depending on the organization’s configured collection level, detection records may include the AI tool, vendor, category, timestamp, domain, page title, full URL, referrer, session duration, and configured organizational user email.

When Content Safety is enabled, text entered into supported AI prompt fields is examined locally for sensitive-data patterns. Raw prompt text and matched sensitive values are not stored or transmitted by the extension.

Pending and recent detections, configuration, authentication state, and a generated device identifier are stored locally in Firefox. Detections and heartbeat information are transmitted only to the organization-configured SecureHive API over HTTPS.

SecureHive does not sell this information or use it for advertising, lending, or purposes unrelated to organizational AI governance. Retention of transmitted records is governed by the organization’s SecureHive configuration. Users may clear local extension data through Settings.
