The side panel is now open for everyone. Open it from the toolbar popup or Firefox's sidebar switcher: type once and press Enter to search every engine in your set — one tab each — or click a single engine to search just that one. You can switch sets right in the panel. It's a Pro feature, free to try until v3.1 and labelled as such; nothing you use today moves behind Pro.

Also in 3.0.2:

• Firefox's sidebar docks on the left, so the panel and its buttons got a left-facing icon — and the layout now holds together at the sidebar's narrowest widths.
• Two new languages, bringing the total to twenty.
• The catalogue gained a one-click "Japan marketplaces" bundle plus a dozen Japanese shopping and auction sites.
• The usage counters got honest: searches, set switches and installs are now told apart properly.
• Japanese translation fixes.
