Stage clears the clutter around YouTube videos so the video gets the whole stage.

What it does

• Adds a "Hide recommendations" button next to the like button. To bring recommendations back, click the button again or the empty area on the right edge of the page.
• While recommendations are hidden, the player is centered at a fixed 16:9 size. Pick the height in the toolbar popup: 720, 756, 900, 1080 or any value from 240 to 2160 px.
• Optional miniplayer background: when you minimize a video (the I key, or leaving the video page), it keeps playing as a blurred, dimmed background behind the page. Blur and dimming are adjustable.

Settings apply to all open YouTube tabs at once. The extension doesn't collect or send any data.

Works great with

Ambient light for YouTube™ adds a glow around the video on the watch page, and Stage gives that glow more room by clearing the sidebar. Together, the video is lit up while you watch and keeps glowing in the background when you minimize it. ( Not affiliated, just a big fan :D )
