Tempo turns every tab that plays audio or video into one card in a single panel. Instead of hunting for the tab that suddenly started playing, you open Tempo and control everything from one place.

WHAT IT DOES

• See every playing tab at a glance: artwork, title, artist, progress
• Play or pause any tab — or pause everything at once
• Seek, skip ±10 seconds, adjust volume, mute
• Previous and next track, wherever the site supports it
• Repeat the current track
• Jump to the tab that's playing — and jump straight back to where you were

YOUTUBE CHAPTERS

When a video has chapters, Tempo reads them and shows a table of contents. Jump to any chapter, step to the next or previous one, or loop a single chapter on repeat — handy for lectures, tutorials and language practice.

LIVE STREAMS

Twitch, Kick and YouTube Live are recognised as live rather than as ordinary videos. Where the player keeps a DVR window, Tempo shows how far behind the live edge you are and lets you seek inside that window.

ON THE DESKTOP

Drag a card up or down to reorder your list — the order is remembered. Drag a card sideways to pull that tab out into a window of its own.

ON ANDROID

Tempo opens as a full page instead of a small popup, so you can bookmark it and keep a permanent remote control for everything Firefox is playing.

• Keyboard shortcuts: Ctrl+Alt+Space to play/pause, Ctrl+Alt+Period to pause every tab (both can be reassigned in Firefox)
• No accounts and no analytics. The only network request Tempo makes is to YouTube, to read the chapter list of the video you are already watching.
