Installation from a downloaded file:

Firefox: Open about:addons, select the gear menu, choose “Install Add-on From File,” and select the extension package.

Chromium-based browsers: Open the browser’s Extensions page, enable Developer Mode, choose “Load unpacked,” and select the extracted extension folder.
