UMichScribe operates with a strict, local-only architecture:
1. No Data Collection: UMichScribe does not collect, track, transmit, or store any personal information, browsing history, user credentials, or telemetry.
2. Local Processing Only: All lecture transcripts, timestamps, and slide markers are extracted directly within the user's active browser session and processed entirely locally on the user's device.
3. No External Servers: No lecture audio, video, text, or metadata is ever uploaded to any third-party server, cloud service, or remote database.
4. User Authorization: The extension only reads text interfaces from video playback pages the user is already actively and authorizedly viewing.
