    It would be even better if we had an option to make the YouTube header show/hide on mouse hover. Instead of just 2 options hide or show atm.

    I'm a longtime user of the Chrome version and just moved to Firefox. YouTube's stock layouts for streams with chat are terrible enough to make this extension one of the essentials. I've never had problems with it, and the dev is quick with any necessary fixes (due to YouTube changing things).

    In case it might save someone some trouble with initial setup, make sure you right-click the extension and enable Always Allow on www.youtube.com. I spent a good few minutes trying to figure out why it wasn't working before seeing that step mentioned elsewhere.

    Everything works fine for me (and most users). YouTube is currently A/B testing a new layout for livestreams, where they display chat next to the video in their theater mode. If your issue is with the layout (empty spaces, wrong chat and video size), try using YouTube's theater mode. I will make the extension work with this new layout as soon as it is released for all users. If you're experiencing a different issue (e.g. livestreams theater mode not becoming available), you could send me more details through email or my discord server.

    Make sure to click the extension icon in the top right corner or right click it and choose 'Always allow on www.youtube.com'. For some reason Firefox turns off extensions after you install them or when there is an update.

    The best YouTube livestream chat extension there is. Very simple to use and has fantastic options to customize with.

    Developer also updates as soon as YouTube does some tomfoolery which is greatly appreciated.

    However a suggestion I may add is having the live chat be able to shift to the bottom of the video player when the browser window is cascaded to the side when there's two windows, similar to how FrankerFaceZ allows that option, because I tend to watch and do stuff on the side and also the YouTube stream does hard crash the browser tab when I cascade, requiring me to sometimes disable the extension in the video player.

    The features introduced by this extension are so simple and obvious that I can't stomach using YouTube's default half-baked theater mode anymore.

    The dev is also very quick to push updates when the Google engineers get bored and decide to start tinkering with YouTube's backend.

    Good addon but theater mode randomly stops working every few weeks and have to remove and re-add it.

    Video no longer showing in theater mode as of 22 august update.

    Unfortunately it has been broken by YouTube 3 times in less than two months, which is a bit annoying, but there is nothing I can do about that. You don't have to uninstall and reinstall it, just wait for the extension to get updated, which usually happens within a day or two. You can also check my Twitter or Discord for information when there are issues with the extension.

    Works like a charm, easy to access, easy to modify almost every aspect of it, and regularly updated if youtube breaks something.
    I hope I'm rich enough to donate, but leaving 5 star rating and some comments is best I can do.

    Yes I can confirm that this feature does not work anymore, I'll be looking into it and try to fix it with the next update.

    I have tried a lot of extensions and scripts like this, but this one is definitely the best one I tried so far. The only problem I have with this is that even non-live videos keep switching to theater mode for some reason which is annoying.Hopefully that gets fixed if possible.

    This was caused by a change from YouTube but should already be fixed with version 4.0.1, please make sure you are updated to the newest version.

    There should be a setting to disable the overlay on the video because I end up moving mouse and clicking on the links on overlay as I am watching video. Very disruptive. Love the theater mode though.
