All reading history, library data, and settings are stored locally in your browser using the browser.storage API. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly enable optional features below.
If you enable Gist sync, your library data is synced to a GitHub Gist under your GitHub account. This is governed by GitHub's privacy policy. AMR-Next does not receive or store this data.
If you choose to register a username for the community leaderboard, the following is transmitted to the AMR-Next community server:
- Your chosen username (no email, no real name required)
- Anonymous reading activity counts (manga read, chapters read)
No IP addresses are stored. No personally identifiable information beyond your chosen username is collected. You can opt out at any time by removing your username in the extension settings.
AMR-Next accesses manga sites you visit to detect chapters and update your library. No data is sent to those sites on your behalf beyond normal browser requests.
If enabled, basic interaction events (e.g. "opened reader", "marked chapter read") are sent to the community server as anonymous counts. No browsing history or visited URLs outside of recognised manga sites are recorded.
