AsideNotes is a lightweight notepad and task planner that lives in the Firefox sidebar — always one keystroke away, and completely offline.

Write rich-text notes with a slash menu, inline Markdown, checklists, callouts and code blocks. Turn any note into a task with a due date, time, reminder and recurrence (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly or custom days). Capture instantly from the toolbar: type "!Call Ann tomorrow 15:00" and it becomes a scheduled task.

Organise with colored tags, search, and focus and zen modes. Deleted notes stay recoverable for 30 days. Copy any note as Markdown, or export everything to JSON.

Your data never leaves your device: no account, no server, no telemetry. Available in English and Polish.
