Detoxify is a Chrome and Firefox extension that empowers you to hide or unhide YouTube Shorts directly from your home feed. It’s perfect for those who prefer a cleaner, more curated viewing experience on YouTube.

How It Works:
Detoxify operates by modifying elements on your YouTube page without collecting or storing any personal data. When activated, the extension identifies Shorts within the home feed and hides them, providing a distraction-free feed. Future updates will expand this feature to cover Shorts across search results and other areas of YouTube, giving you even more control.

Privacy & Security:
Your privacy is a top priority. Detoxify operates entirely within your browser and does not collect, store, or transmit any user data. All modifications occur locally, ensuring that your browsing activity remains private and secure. The Chrome version of the extension uses Manifest V3 for enhanced security, while the Firefox version currently operates on Manifest V2, adhering to the latest available standards for each platform.

Future Features:
- Advanced feed control, allowing users to select the types of videos displayed on their home feed for a more tailored YouTube experience.

Currently in active development, Detoxify may still have a few bugs, particularly with Shorts toggling. Your feedback is invaluable in refining the extension for a smoother, more reliable experience.

Since Firefox operates on a different architecture than Chromium, there may be issues with hiding YouTube Shorts. If this feature does not respond immediately, try toggling the "Hide Shorts" option on and off several times to refresh the visibility settings. If the issue persists, please raise a support ticket, and I will follow up as soon as possible to address any compatibility issues.

Because Firefox and Chromium have distinct extension APIs and event-handling mechanisms, some features may require specific adjustments to ensure consistent functionality across both browsers. I’m actively working on improving compatibility for a smoother experience.
