FilterTube is now available on Android phones and tablets, alongside the browser extension.

FilterTube does not require a FilterTube account.

Your filtering rules, profiles, PIN configuration, local-media favourites and viewing controls remain on your device. FilterTube does not upload your local videos or audio.

Optional Google sign-in is used only when you choose account-backed features such as your YouTube feed, subscriptions, playlists and history.

Notification permission is used only to display active media-player controls. FilterTube does not send promotional notifications.

FilterTube includes an on-device media library and player.

Browse device videos and audio by recency, folder, album or artist. View thumbnails and metadata, maintain favourites and playback queues, rescan when files change, and continue playback using background and notification controls.

Local media is processed on your device and is never uploaded.

FilterTube began after repeated frustration with the limited controls available to parents and viewers who wanted to block content more precisely.
