ignoreG gives you back control over your Instagram Direct Message privacy.

When you open a DM thread on Instagram, the website normally sends read receipts, typing indicators, and story-view signals back to Instagram's servers — revealing to the other person that you've seen their message, that you're typing, or that you've viewed their story. ignoreG intercepts these signals at the network level before they ever leave your browser.

The result: you can browse your DMs and stories without broadcasting your activity to the other party. Everything is processed locally — no data is collected, stored, or sent anywhere other than the blocked requests being silently dropped. A popup shows a live count of how many requests have been blocked per session, with per-feature toggles so you can choose which signals to suppress.
