Dark Green Lake-Konigssee Germany
Beautiful Konigssee, Bertchesgadern, Bavaria, 1988. Lake Königssee is Germany's cleanest and highest lake and is situated in the heart of the Berchtesgaden National Park in Bavaria. The lake is deep and darkly green. It is framed by impressive mountains, including Mount Watzmann (second highest in Bavaria). Only electric boats were allowed on the lake in order to preserve its pristine and unpolluted natural beauty. During the smooth sailing, we were surprised when a trumpet player stood and performed a wonderful song, demonstrating the spectacular echoes as they bounced off the tall mountain sides. Situated on the lake is the impressive Saint Bartoloma, which is a unique cathedral and mirrored in the persona.
