Reddit Streak Saver is a lightweight your web browser extension designed for people who already maintain a Reddit streak and want a safety net for those occasional days when they simply cannot get on Reddit.

The extension checks your streak status and only intervenes when your streak actually needs to be saved. If your streak is already active, it does nothing.

How it works

Reddit Streak Saver runs quietly in the background and checks whether your streak needs attention.

It is designed specifically as a backup, not as a replacement for normal Reddit use.

• Your existing Reddit account is used.
• Your streak must actually need to be saved before the extension takes action.
• If your streak is already active, nothing happens.
• The extension does not browse through Reddit looking for content.
• It does not select content based on popularity, score, or other engagement metrics.
• It does not post, comment, message users, or interact with communities beyond what is necessary for its single purpose.

Requirements

For the extension to work:

• You must be logged into your Reddit account in your web browser.
• Your web browser must be open at least once during the day when the streak needs to be saved (The extension cannot operate while your web browser is completely closed)
• The extension has to be activated

The extension is intended for users who already actively use and maintain their Reddit streak.

Privacy

Reddit Streak Saver does not send any of your information to any external server.

There is NO personal-data collection service, analytics server, tracking service, or third-party backend involved.

The extension communicates directly with Reddit when necessary for its functionality.

The extension's source code is publicly available, allowing anyone to inspect how it works.

Designed with Reddit's ecosystem in mind

The goal of Reddit Streak Saver is deliberately narrow: help an existing streak survive an occasional missed day.

Current status & future compatibility

Reddit Streak Saver currently works with Reddit's website as of the latest release.

However, the extension relies on elements of Reddit's current website. Reddit can change its website at any time, and such changes may cause the extension to stop working or require an update.

If Reddit changes the relevant parts of its website, the extension may temporarily stop functioning until compatibility is restored.

The source code is available for inspection and transparency.
